Leadership

Bob WilhelmChief Executive Officer
Bob joined Adreima in May 2012 as Chief Executive Officer and leads overall strategy, operations and corporate functions for the company. Bob has over 15 years of healthcare executive experience and brings his energy, innovation, and leadership experience to the Adreima team. Bob earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business with a concentration on Strategic Management, Marketing and Economics. He has had a notable track record in the healthcare industry helping companies to grow revenue and deliver new services and solutions. Bob joined Adreima from the TriZetto Group, a leading provider of world class technology and service solutions to healthcare payers and providers, where he served as President Provider Market. Prior to TriZetto, he held an executive position with Cerner Corporation for the Asia Pacific market.

Connie PerezPresident
A former client while vice president of patient care services at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Connie joined Adreima as the COO in May 2004 and was promoted to President in May 2012. Utilizing a participatory management philosophy, Connie has built the solid culture, infrastructure, and focused team that has Adreima poised for continued growth nationwide. Prior to Adreima, Connie spent most of her career in children’s healthcare. She started her career as a nurse, having received a B.S. in Nursing from Loyola University. She earned her MBA from the Executive Management Program at the Kellogg Business School of Northwestern University. Connie is the past Chairperson of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and she is the past-President of Healthcare Financial Management Association’s Arizona chapter. Connie is also an active member of the board for Ryan House, a group that has come together to build a home where respite and hospice care is provided to children and their families. Connie is also a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional.

John LandisChief Operations Officer
John Landis has served as Adreima’s COO since early 2013 and brings to the organization vast expertise and experience as a senior executive within healthcare service and information technology markets. John’s leadership skills traverse all dimensions of the business and his vision and keen sense of process and order drive internal systems to orchestrate organizational performance. Prior to joining Adreima, Landis worked with healthcare services and IT organizations to identify and implement business and process discipline through his consulting company jolands, LLC. His relevant skills have been developed and applied through his tenure with some of most well-respected organizations in healthcare and technology, including Cerner Corporation, IBM and the Medical University of South Carolina. John holds a Masters degree from the University of Iowa in Healthcare Administration with an undergraduate degree in Accounting.

Eric GordonChief Financial Officer
Eric joined Adreima as its Chief Financial Officer in August 2012 to lead the company’s efforts within corporate finance, acquisitions, and financial analysis and budgeting.  Prior to joining Adreima, Eric was a Vice President of Waud Capital Partners, where he was responsible for helping lead the firm’s investments within revenue cycle management.  Previously, Mr. Gordon worked as Manager of Real Estate Investments at Ventas, the country’s largest healthcare REIT.  Prior to Ventas, Eric was an investment banking analyst with Merrill Lynch.  Eric received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, Henry Ford II Scholar, and Wolfe Scholar.  Eric currently serves on the finance committee of CommunityHealth, the largest not-for-profit provider of healthcare in Chicago. He previously served as a member of the Board of Acadia Healthcare Company (NASDAQ: ACHC) and CarePoint Partners, a national provider of home infusion services. 

Kelley BlairExecutive Vice President, Client Organization
Kelley Blair joined Adreima as Northeast Regional President in January of 2013 and was promoted in November of 2013 to EVP of the company’s client organization where she leads the business development, marketing and client services. Prior to joining Adreima, Blair served as Senior Vice President of Professional Services for Craneware, helping technology clients in maximizing their return on investment by providing healthcare operations expertise, best practice ideas, performance improvement methods and measurement tools in the management of revenue cycle strategic projects. Blair also served as a Revenue Cycle System Director for an integrated healthcare delivery system managing revenue cycle processes, strategic plans and large IT system implementations for five hospitals and more than 40 clinics. In addition to more than seventeen years of revenue cycle operations management and performance improvement experience, Blair is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt with experience using Lean and Focus PDCA improvement methodologies in complex integrated health systems. Blair holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Strategic Management.

Sarah Hornsby – Chief Human Resources Officer
Sarah Hornsby joined Adreima as Chief Human Resources Officer in March of 2014 and brings to the organization over 15 years of human resources and executive leadership in various organizations and industries.  She has led strategic HR teams to partner with operational leaders to drive business focused HR programs, develop talent and align organization strategy and culture to drive overall results.  Sarah’s expertise and passions lie in human capital strategy, team and leadership development and developing high performing cultures.  Prior to joining Adreima, Hornsby was Chief Human Resources Officer at Park Nicollet Health Services in St. Louis Park, MN.  She also held senior human resources  leadership roles at Griffin International, Thomson West, Target Corporation and Arthur Andersen LLP. Sarah earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

Geoff PaceChief Information Officer
Geoff joined Adreima in August, 2011 as Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for all aspects of the company’s technology strategy, infrastructure, products and services. Geoff has more than 28 years of Information Technology and leadership experience with the last 18 years devoted to the healthcare industry. His career spans the Transportation, Gaming, Credit Card, Banking, Consulting and Healthcare industries, as well as academic and teaching arenas. Geoff was the former Chief Information Officer of Meridian Surgical Partners. He was Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Medifax-EDI, and was Senior Vice President and division Chief Technology Officer of Emdeon Provider Services after Medifax was acquired by Emdeon in 2003. The combination of Medifax and Emdeon, created the nation’s largest healthcare transaction clearinghouse. Geoff holds a Bachelor degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Information Systems with dual minors in Business Administration and Accounting.

Glen ReinerSenior Vice President, Clinical and A/R Services
Glen Reiner has been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years, the past ten of which were leading the Clinical Services Center of Excellence for Adreima. Prior to joining Adreima, Reiner spent seven years as the Assistant Director of Nursing for a large healthcare corporation and spent over 16 years as a Registered Nurse, specializing in Nurse Management. His extensive knowledge of healthcare coding, billing, reimbursement, denials, and RAC/MIC audits has been instrumental in preparing Adreima to be the premier Clinical Services resource for hospitals. Glen holds a Masters of Business Administration. Reiner is a member of the Arizona chapter of HFMA and is a past Board Member for the AAHAM Western Region.

Kathy Turner-MotleySenior Vice President, Patient Access
Kathy joined Adreima as part of the 2010 acquisition of Florida-based Hospital Inpatient Services (HIS). Her responsibilities encompass overall leadership and direction of all Adreima activities and services for all Southeast clients. Kathy joined HIS in 1991 as regional director of north Florida operations, and expanded her responsibilities until being named senior vice president of operations in 2005 as she developed a reputation as an expert in the field of patient eligibility determination. Prior to HIS, Kathy worked in the private and public mental health industry, serving as special projects coordinator at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, and as mental health counselor at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. She earned her BS in psychology at Union University, and is a member of the Florida Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM).

Tami Knobbe, FHFMA – Senior Vice President, Patient Responsibility Services
Tami Knobbe has more than 15 years of experience in revenue cycle management for the health care industry. As Senior Vice President, Tami leads Adreima’s development of new products, strategic initiatives and service delivery for the Patient Responsibility line of business. Prior to joining Adreima in 2014, Ms. Knobbe worked for Trizetto (Gateway EDI) overseeing operational support and product solutions spanning both the Provider and Payer markets. She has also worked on the hospital side of health care management for RehabCare Group, serving post-acute and long-term acute care facilities across the country. In this role, Tami was responsible for establishing the hospital division’s centralized business office and working on the mergers and acquisitions team. Tami Knobbe is a Healthcare Financial Management Association fellow. She is the former president of the Greater St. Louis Chapter and continues to be involved in the organization’s support committees. Ms. Knobbe is also an active member of the Medical Group Management Association. Tami received her bachelor degree from Truman University and masters degree in Health Services Management from Webster University.

David Neighbours – Partner, Waud Capital Partners
Mr. Neighbours joined Waud Capital Partners (WCP) in 2003. Prior to joining WCP, Mr. Neighbours worked for Citigroup Investments in New York where he was responsible for the analysis, due diligence and execution of numerous private equity, mezzanine and structured product investments in a variety of industries, including communications, consumer products, financial services, healthcare and leisure. Previously, Mr. Neighbours was with Salomon Smith Barney in New York, where he worked in the firm’s proprietary investment group, SSB Capital Partners, and prior to that, in the firm’s investment banking division. Mr. Neighbours holds a B.B.A., cum laude, in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Adreima.

Gary Mecklenburg – Executive Partner, Waud Capital Partners
Prior to joining Waud Capital Partners (WCP), Mr. Mecklenburg served as President and CEO of Northwestern Memorial HealthCare and Northwestern Memorial Hospital for twenty-one years. Mr. Mecklenburg’s career, which began in 1970, has included senior management positions at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals, Stanford University Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Franciscan Healthcare in Milwaukee, and he is now recognized as one of the nation’s leading healthcare executives. Mr. Mecklenburg’s national role has included serving as chairman of the American Hospital Association. He also serves on the boards of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and the National Center for Healthcare Leadership. Mr. Mecklenburg currently serve as a director of Becton Dickinson and Company (NYSE:BDX).

Kenneth Kaufman – Managing Partner, Kaufman, Hall & Associates
Mr. Kaufman co-founded and serves as Managing Partner of Kaufman, Hall & Associates, one of the nation’s most respected independent strategic financial and capital consultancy firms. Mr. Kaufman is one of the nation’s leading authorities in healthcare, providing strategic counsel and guidance to healthcare organizations throughout the country. He is recognized as an expert in all aspects of capital advisory services, including capital allocation, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Kaufman has presented more than 300 programs to audiences throughout the country, including seminars sponsored by the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the American Hospital Association (AHA). He is the author of numerous books, including most recently Focus on Finance: 10 Critical Issues for Hospital Leadership. Mr. Kaufman holds a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospital Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Matt LondonVice President, Waud Capital Partners
Matt London, a Vice President, joined WCP in 2007. Mr. London was previously an Associate at WCP and, prior to that, an Analyst in the investment banking groups of Deutsche Bank in Chicago, where he worked in the Industrials Group, and Morgan Keegan in Memphis. Mr. London holds a B.S.B.A., magna cum laude, in Finance and International Business from Washington University in St. Louis. He previously served as a member of the Board of Acadia Healthcare Company (NASDAQ: ACHC), CarePoint Partners, and Regency Hospital Company.

Waud Capital Partners

Founded in 1993, Waud Capital Partners (“WCP”) is a private equity investment firm that partners with exceptional management teams to invest in middle market growth equity investments, buyouts, industry consolidations and recapitalizations.
