Connie Perez, Chief Executive Officer

A former client while vice president of patient care services at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Connie joined Adreima as the COO in May 2004 and was promoted to CEO in July 2005. Utilizing a participatory management philosophy, Connie has built the solid culture, infrastructure, and focused team that has Adreima poised for continued growth nationwide.

Prior to Adreima, Connie spent most of her career in children’s healthcare. She started her career as a nurse, having received a B.S. in Nursing from Loyola University. She earned her MBA from the Executive Management Program at the Kellogg Business School of Northwestern University.

Connie is the immediate past Chairperson of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and she is the President-elect of Healthcare Financial Management Association’s Arizona chapter. Ms. Perez is also an active member of the board for Ryan House, a group that has come together to build a home where respite and hospice care is provided to children and their families. Connie is also a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional.

Frank Grant, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Frank brings to Adreima a long and successful track record of leading nationwide sales organizations and delivering solutions for hospitals across the country. As CSMO, Frank will be responsible for directing the company’s sales and marketing efforts. He will develop and implement a national marketing strategy, increasing the company’s geographic presence and accelerating its growth.

Prior to joining Adreima, Frank was Executive Director of North American Healthcare for Cisco Systems, where he was responsible for over $1 billion in annual sales to some of the country’s largest hospitals. He spearheaded Cisco’s entry into the healthcare market six years ago and quickly grew that division into Cisco’s fastest-growing vertical.

A seasoned sales and marketing professional throughout his entire career, Frank held previous sales and marketing leadership positions at some of the world’s most recognized companies, including IBM and Hitachi Data Systems. He earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his executive MBA from Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management.

Ken Howell, Chief Development and Integration Officer

Ken joined Adreima in late 2010, bringing with him 25 years of healthcare management and operational excellence. He joined the company during a period of rapid growth with a focus on facilitating ongoing national expansion efforts, improving upon the high levels of service and expertise provided to Adreima’s client hospitals, and streamlining the company’s post-acquisition integration processes. As CDIO, Ken leads the Acquisition and Integration efforts for Adreima.

Prior to joining Adreima, Ken was CEO of Phoenix Baptist Hospital where he spearheaded a significant operational and financial turn-around for the 231-bed facility. As a result, he was awarded the Vanguard Health System People Pillar Award and the Healthstream Excellence Award for Medical Staff Satisfaction.

Previously Ken held executive level positions with Hospital Partners of America, the Medcath Corporation’s Heart Hospitals, and Healthsouth Corporation. Ken received his BS degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with honors.

Mark Lawrence, Vice President of Accounts Receivable Management Operations

Mark has committed his career to healthcare revenue cycle management services. He joined Adreima in 2007 in a newly-created director of operations position after the company’s rapid growth in 2005-2006 created the need for operational leadership. He was promoted to vice president of operations in January of 2009. In this role he has exploited his background to create operational systems to address inventory control and resource allocation.

Prior to joining Adreima, starting in 2002, Mark worked for MedCath, during which time he planned, established, and directed their Western Central Business office. Prior to that he managed the business office of University Health System in San Antonio.

Mark began work in health care by spending six years with GC Services during which he successfully managed a contracted insurance/self-pay follow-up department for St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. Mark received a B.A. in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University.

Kathy Turner-Motley, Vice President of Eligibility Operations

Kathy joined Adreima as part of the 2010 acquisition of Florida-based Hospital Inpatient Services (HIS). Her responsibilities encompass overall leadership and direction of all Adreima activities and services for all East Coast clients.

Kathy joined HIS in 1991 as regional director of north Florida operations, and expanded her responsibilities until being named senior vice president of operations in 2005 as she developed a reputation as an expert in the field of patient eligibility determination. She oversaw company expansion up the Eastern seaboard, and managed financial performance as well as overall day-to-day oversight of employees, client relationships, and company policies, and was a significant contributor to HIS’ 8-fold increase in revenue during her tenure.

Prior to HIS Kathy worked in the private and public mental health industry, serving as special projects coordinator at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, and as mental health counselor at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. She earned her BS in psychology at Union University, and is a member of the Florida Healthcare for Management Association (HFMA) and the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM).

Glen Reiner, Vice President of Clinical Operations

Glen joined Adreima in 2002 as the Director of Adreima's Clinical Department. His leadership and clinical expertise has helped to develop and grow Adreima's Clinical Services offerings. Today, under Glen's direction, Adreima's Clinical Services Center of Excellence department has expanded in both size and scope of services to provide an array of clinical services to client's throughout the United States.  

Prior to joining Adreima, Glen spent 7 years as the Assistant Director of Nursing for a large healthcare corporation. He has spent over 16 years as a Register Nurse with many of these years specializing in Nurse Management. His extensive knowledge of healthcare coding, billing, reimbursement, denials, and RAC/MIC audits has been instrumental in preparing Adreima to be the premier Clinical Services resource for hospital.

Glen is an active supporter of Healthcare Financial Management Association and is often sought after for speaking engagements on denials management and clinical audit best practices. Glen is also Chapter President for American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management. Glen obtained his Bachelor's of Nursing degree from Northern Arizona University.

Susan Williams, Vice President of Human Resources

Susan started supporting Adreima as a Human Resource Consultant in 2004, joining the company full time in December 2008 as the Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to Adreima, Susan spent 25 years as an entrepreneur managing HR Choice, providing human resource services and products to small and medium sized businesses. She specialized in assisting business owners and key management with addressing the human side of their business, an area often overlooked.

Prior to starting her own business, Susan spent several years with U.S. West and AT&T, holding key management positions in human resources and customer service. Susan has a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Southern Colorado. She currently chairs the Small Business Leadership Counsel and serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce.
